Andrea Ambam is an award-winning storyteller, performance artist, director, creative producer, and politically engaged writer whose roots sprout from Cameroon. Her multidisciplinary work spans theater, live performance, and civic engagement, using bold storytelling to interrogate power, justice, and collective freedom.

Andrea is the Director of Programming at Level Forward, where she curates, produces, and hosts More To Talk About, the Anthem Award-winning audience engagement platform featured at Sundance, Tribeca, SXSW, and Soho House NYC. She has developed her work through fellowships and residencies with New York Theatre Workshop, PEN America, Anna Deavere Smith, Signature Theatre, Broadway Advocacy Coalition, and The Playwrights Realm.

Her plays include Twelve Angry Black Women (Perelman Performing Arts Center Democracy Cycle Commission), Date of Release, and Fragile State, which was a semifinalist for the Eugene O'Neill National Playwrights Conference and longlisted for the Theatre503 International Playwriting Award. A former national champion public speaker, Andrea won 10 national titles, including "Top Speaker in the Nation" three times, before earning an M.A. in Art & Public Policy from NYU Tisch.
