
Paul Castles
Composer
Paul Castles is a composer reconjuring how stories are told through live, experiential, and digital performance. Defined by the collision of the ancient and the modern and underpinned by a passion for collaboration, his music has been seen across North America, Europe, Africa, East Asia, and Australia.
Among his works are the award-winning musical The Fountain with Namoo Chae Lee; Repast, a series of interactive musical installations about the interconnectedness of nature and memory; The Road Between the Desert and the Ocean with Mkhululi Mabija; and the original score for Wild Goose Dreams by Hansol Jung as seen at the Public Theater, La Jolla Playhouse, and Theatre Royal Bath.
Paul has been an artist-in-residence with UKARIA and the Stellenbosch Institute for Advanced Study as well as a fellow of the Sundance Institute, Center for Ballet and the Arts at NYU, and the Cybec 21st Century Young Composers Program.
